EDC Team Jefferson FAQ

EDC Team Jefferson is the Washington State Department of Commerce designated Associate Development Organization (ADO) for Jefferson County, and receives funding from various organizations (see below) to help grow and develop the local economy.

How do I get an appointment with a team member?
Email us or call 360.379.4693 for an intake interview, and we'll match you up with the best assistance for you.

How is Team Jefferson funded?
Team Jefferson receives funding from multiple streams, and provides a significant return on investment. TJ is funded annually by the WA State Department of Commerce, Jefferson County, the Port of Port Townsend, and the City of Port Townsend. We also receive private grant money from the Herbert B. Jones Foundation.

Do you have money to help my business get started?
We don't have our own funds to invest, but we can help you find access to capital, both conventional and alternative through our focusFUND program. Through focusFUND we can explore local alternative funding sources such as LION or Craft3 as well as looking at traditional bank funding and grant options to find out which will work best for your business.

Can I attend a Team Jefferson meeting?
Because Team Jefferson discusses information that is confidential to private businesses, general meetings are not open to the public. If you are interested in presenting to the group, or in becoming a team member, please contact us.
